University's English

Hello, readers, in this last blog I will talk about my experience in the University's English:

I like that this University has an option that allows you to learn English, but it really isn´t an option, since it´s an obligation. I don´t like this, because the interest to learn is not genuine, and it adds pressure to the University experience, because otherwise there are unwanted consecuences. Plus, there are people not interested on learning English, because even when it’s a really helpfull tool, you can live your life and discipline without it. This is not my case, because I would like to speak English, but I don’t think this is the proper way for me to do it.

The use of blogs as a way to learn English has been fun, and the different subjects have been interesting, and not just to write about, but as a way to know the opinions of my classmates about some things that I would have never known about if it hasn’t been for these blogs.

I think I need to improve my pronunciation, because it has been hard for me to get this right. Whenever I have to speak English, I feel the pronunciation right in my head, but wrong when it comes out, so I end up just being embarrassed. I know this can only be improved by practice, so I would like to, someday, travel to an English native speaker country, or expose myself to the language whenever I get the chance.

Outside English clases, I never speak English, but I listen to it a lot when I watch series, because I watch them with subtitles, or when I listen to music.

Well, this is all I have to say. It's been a pleasure. Take care! :)

Psychology career

Hello everyone.

Today I want to talk about my career. For people who don't know, I study psychology at the Universidad de Chile. However, Instead of just talking about what the university has, I will also talk about what is missing in the race and the changes that would make it.

The career has a basic initial cycle where we learn everything that we should supposedly know as a basis regarding the social sciences, specifically psychology. But, I think there are some obsolete or not very relevant subjects, compared to other subjects what should we know, for example gender perspective. It is from the specialization cycle that just we can have gender perspective subjects, those that are available very recently.

The career is thought for five years, but, the academic load of the last year is much, reason why students take more than five years, which is a big problem considering the costs of education. I would reformulate the program to make the last year easier.

Another thing that I would modify is the infrastructure. They are already doing it but in a way contrary to how I would because instead of putting more green areas, that are very few, they are taking out the ones we have.

I don’t have much to say about technology and about teaching methods… Well, we have all kinds of methodologies; these depend a lot on the teacher. There are some archaic and others very entertaining where we sit in a circle and talk about the subject, without the teacher-student power relationship.

Goodbye everyone.

Do exercise

Dear lector:

This time I’ll be talking about the sport, although I don’t know too much about this topic. Thus, go to the experience. When I was small, I loved the football. I wanted to be a footballer. My brother would make us play ball all the time together with my cousin. I was a talented woman but… I’m woman. I don´t could playing games of boys, I should learn cooking and housekeeping. Yes. Thanks patriarchy.

Well. I stayed away from football and then I was scared the ball. Now I don’t practice any sport but sometime run or make exercise and it wasn’t hard for me because playing football when I was small I help me to have better physical resistance.

Also, now I’d like to exercise because the physical exercise has many health benefits, both physical and psychologically. Exercising also helps us to be happier, helps to lower anxiety and improves our digestion (it says a person with digestive problems). When I started feeling better, I started exercising. For this I recommend it, but, always stretch before and after to avoid injury. It would be very counterproductive.

I have run out of time. See you for the next occasion. Do exercise!

Hi! Today I’ll talk about the best concert I’ve had. Although I don’t have much concert in my life, all of them I liked too much, but, think about this, come/be on to my mind the concert of Perotá Chingó. I loved this so much.

I went to three concert of Perotá Chingó, each was an unforgettable and unique experience. The first concert was in 2015, I went with my best friend. The second concert was in 2016 in the “Frontera”, I went with my brother and best friend. And the last concert was the Friday… Yes! This Friday: August 28, 2017, I went with another best friend. I remember reading over there every experience is unique. So, this three time I was very excited and happy, consequently this three time was the best concert I’ve had.

I think that Perotá Chingó is not only good music, they are also transmit energy and peace. They have accompanied me in difficult times and wonderful moment; consequently signify too much for me. And, also, share my love for this band with people very important for me.

Simply: New Zealand

Hi everyone, how are you? it's been very long time.

In my return I'll be writing about of a theme which I really enjoy! I'll be talking about a country would like to visit.

Well, the truth is, I would like to visit everybody! but, this time I'll be talking about of New Zealand. I would like to go there because I want to get to know other cultures and this culture in particular because New Zealand, being a country geographically isolated, they have a  typical and unique culture. While everybody have a typical and unique culture, the cities of New Zealand are among the best in the world and with the best quality of life.

New Zealand is a country developed that positions itself as the leader in many subjects like education, economic freedom and intellectual freedom, ansence of corruption and also stand out their human development rate. For this reason I would like live and work in this place, because I can learn to much and bring this knowledge to Chile in my return, after of  visit everybody, of couser.

Well, that's all for today. Have a good week.

Good luck.

The last tiny piece of me.

Hello everyone!

In the same way I started this posts talking a little about myself, and then I commented a bit more, It seems fair to me that I finish the posts with just a little bit more about me. This time, I would like to talk about the things that I like, but not just anything that I like… Wait, it is actually precisely that, very random stuff that I like.

I like looking up and be able to notice that there are things that have always been there, but that we never even notice because we just walk looking down, and they all pass unnoticed. An example of this, I bet you guys and girls have not noticed the little house on the tree that’s right in front the “Portal Ñuñoa”, in Grecia Street.

I like a lot to listen to music very loud (I know that I had already said that) and I also like to pay attention to the song’s lyrics and imagining every single scene of them (sometimes, I’m the protagonist jajaja).

I like going down stairs very quickly (but not going upstairs, that’s terrible and I get really tired).

I like the “Tangananica”.

Well, I think that’s all for this semester. I really hope you don’t think I’m some kind of egocentric or something like that.

It was a pleasure to spend this time with everyone. Good luck with the end of the semester.

Favourite Subject

Hi people, it’s been a long time!

Today I’ll be writing about my favorite subject this semester. Its name is “Teoría y sistemas psicológicos”. This academic subject has remained in theory, and although I don’t really like theoretical subjects, with this one in particular we can think and reflect about psychology.

In “Teoría y sistemas psicológicos” we talk about the unquestioned conceptual underground of psychology, for example, we talk about the conception of time, language, rationalism, etc.

I also like this subject because it questions the way the discipline has been working.

Besides all of this, I like the way the professor directs this class. He has a lot of patience to explain as many times as necessary for all the students to understand what he’s explaining.

I also like the evaluations in this subject and the way these are taken, because is nice and enriching. These are always in group or couples, which I find great, because my own group is way too cool and we complement each other very well. These are evaluations I actually enjoy, where I don’t feel the pressure I feel with other evaluations from other subjects.

Well, that’s all for today. Have a good week.

Greetings.
